That’s why Universal Benefit Plans provides voluntary individual critical illness insurance plans from multiple carriers which pay a lump sum benefit at the first diagnosis of a covered illness.

Benefits are paid directly to the employee and may be used at their discretion to pay for:

  • Deductibles, co-pays and expenses their health plan doesn’t cover
  • Experimental treatment for their illness that is not covered by the health plan
  • Travel and lodging expenses for out-of-town treatment
  • Home care and/or the equivalent
  • Day-to-day living expenses such as rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, etc.
